Terms of use
Last updated 19 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Blundi when you use the Blundi app. How we handle your data is in the privacy policy.
The short version
- Blundi is a logbook, not a doctor. Talk to a health professional if you’re worried.
- Ask Blundi is AI, and AI can be wrong.
- Pluss is optional. The free trial never turns into a payment by itself.
- Your logs are yours. Export or delete them whenever you like.
- Your rights under consumer law always apply.
1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Blundi, run by Sebastian Mandelid, Nye Sædalsveien 136, 5099 Bergen, Norway. By using Blundi you accept them. Your consents for health information and the AI assistant are given separately in the app. Nothing here limits your rights under mandatory consumer law.
2. What Blundi is
Blundi is a logbook for parents: logging sleep, feeds and care, overviews, suggested nap windows, sharing with the people who care for your child, and an optional AI assistant. Some features need Blundi Pluss, a paid subscription.
3. Who can use Blundi
You must be 18 or older. You must have parental responsibility for the child you log, or permission from someone who has. The same goes for anyone you invite.
4. Your account
You sign in with your email address and a one-time code. Keep your email and phone secure, and tell us if you think someone else has access. Removing a phone from your household stops it from syncing, but can’t take back what is already saved on it.
5. Not medical advice
Blundi is a logbook, not a medical device and not an emergency or monitoring service. Nap windows, summaries and AI answers are general guidance and estimates. Never delay getting help because of what Blundi shows. If you’re worried, contact your doctor, health visitor or legevakt (116 117). In an emergency, call 113 (Norway) or your local emergency number.
6. Ask Blundi (AI)
Ask Blundi is optional and you can turn it off at any time. Its answers are written by AI and can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Check anything important, and don’t use an answer as the only basis for a decision. We’re not responsible for losses from relying on AI answers, unless mandatory law says otherwise. Don’t try to get around its safety limits. We may change or remove the assistant as Blundi develops.
7. Free, Pluss and payments
- Each household can try Pluss free once, for 14 days: tick the box when you start, or start the trial on the Pluss screen. A phone that has already had a trial can’t start another. No card is needed, and it ends by itself.
- Pluss is a monthly or yearly subscription bought in your phone’s app store: Google Play on Android, the App Store on iPhone. The price is shown before you buy. A subscription renews automatically until you cancel it in the same store; you keep Pluss until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting the app doesn’t cancel a subscription.
- When you buy, Pluss starts right away. Under Norwegian law the 14-day right to withdraw then ends, if you agreed to the immediate start when buying. Refunds go through the store you bought in, under its rules and the law.
- If the price of a subscription changes, we tell you before your next renewal. Periods you’ve already paid for don’t change.
- Sometimes we offer an introductory price for the first period. It is shown together with the regular price before you buy, and the subscription renews at the regular price.
- Extra Ask Blundi questions are a one-time purchase in the app store, not a subscription. They are used once your plan’s questions run out, apply on the phone you bought them on (and come along when you restore purchases), and last 12 months from the purchase. You can use them right away, so the right of withdrawal no longer applies. If the store refunds the purchase, the unused questions are removed. If we remove Ask Blundi, unused questions are refunded.
8. Your logs are yours
You own what you log. You give us permission to store and process it only to run Blundi for you, as described in the privacy policy. We never sell it or use it for advertising. You can export each child’s logs in Settings, delete them at any time, and ask us for a copy of the rest.
9. Fair use
Don’t use Blundi for anything unlawful, don’t try to get into other people’s data or our systems, and don’t copy, scrape or reverse-engineer the app (except where the law allows). Don’t use Blundi to train AI models, and don’t misuse invites or the free trial. An honest mistake isn’t misuse.
10. Availability and changes
We build Blundi with care, but can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. Keep the app updated. We may change, add or remove features; during the closed test, features and these terms may still change before the public launch. If a change is clearly worse for you, we tell you in advance. If we ever close Blundi, we give at least 60 days’ notice, and you can ask for a copy of your data before it’s deleted.
11. Liability
We’re responsible for providing Blundi with reasonable care. We’re not responsible for indirect losses, for losses caused by misuse or by breaking these terms, for services from others (the app stores, your phone or network), or for events outside our control, unless mandatory law says otherwise. Nothing here limits liability for intent, gross negligence or personal injury, or your rights as a consumer.
12. Suspension and ending
You can stop using Blundi at any time: delete your data in the app and cancel any subscription in the app store (Google Play or the App Store). We can suspend or end your access after a serious breach of these terms, a security risk or a legal requirement. We normally explain why, give you a chance to fix it, and help you get a copy of your data.
13. Rights in the app
The Blundi app, name and design belong to us. You get a personal, non-transferable right to use the app. Open-source parts are covered by their own licences.
14. Others’ services
Purchases are also covered by the terms of the store you buy in. On iPhone, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA) also applies. Apple and Google are not parties to these terms and are not responsible for Blundi, for supporting or maintaining the app, or for claims about it. Links to other websites are their owners’ responsibility.
15. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that is worse for you, we tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you don’t agree, you can stop using Blundi and cancel any subscription. Changes in your favour take effect right away.
16. Law and complaints
Norwegian law applies. Contact us first at support@blundi.app; most things can be solved by email. If we don’t agree, Forbrukerrådet can help with mediation, and you can take the matter to the courts. If you live in another EU/EEA country, you keep the consumer protection of that country.
