Delete your data and account
You can delete everything you have entered in Blundi, and your account, at any time.
This page is about the app Blundi (Android and iPhone, app.blundi), published by the developer Blundi (Sebastian Mandelid).
Delete everything on your phone
- Open Blundi and tap the gear icon in the top right.
- Choose Delete all data and confirm.
Your child’s details and all logs are deleted from the phone immediately. If you have an account or share with your partner, your account is deleted too, and the phone is removed from the household (see below). To keep a copy first, choose Export as CSV in the same place.
Delete your account
The account is your email address, which we use for login codes, for restoring your data on a new phone and for important notices about the service. If you only want to get rid of the account:
- Open Blundi and tap the gear icon in the top right.
- Choose Account and backup, then Delete account, and confirm.
The email address is deleted immediately, and the phones are disconnected from the account. The household and its logs stay on our server in the EU for the phones still in it, until they leave the household or delete their data. If you want the logs gone from the server too, use Delete all data or Stop sharing. If you use Blundi without an account, there is nothing to delete here.
To change your email address, delete the account and add the new one.
Delete some of your data and keep the account
- One entry: open it in the log or on the home screen and tap Delete.
- A child and all their logs (when you have more than one child): in Settings, under the child, tap Remove child.
- Ask Blundi conversations (kept only on your phone): in the conversation history on the Ask tab, tap Delete all conversations, or delete them one at a time.
- Usage statistics: in Settings, tap Reset and delete my statistics.
Deleted entries and children disappear from the phone at once and from the other phones in the household at the next sync. On our server they are emptied after 7 days, and copies in backups expire within 30 days. For anything else, email support@blundi.app.
Delete shared data
If you have an account or share with your partner:
- Delete all data in Settings deletes everything on the phone, deletes your account, removes the phone from sharing and deletes the phone’s registration on our server.
- Stop sharing under Settings → Sharing removes the phone from sharing. The logs stay on the phone.
- When the last phone stops sharing, all shared data on the server is deleted.
- If a phone is lost, the person who started sharing can remove it under Sharing. If that was the lost phone, email us.
- A phone that hasn’t been used for 18 months is removed automatically, and sharing with no phones left is deleted.
- An account with no household that no phone is signed in to is deleted automatically 30 days after its last sign-in.
If you can’t access the app, email support@blundi.app with the subject Delete data and we’ll help. Write from the email address you used for the account, so we know it is you, and we will delete the account and your email address. You don’t need to reinstall the app.
What is deleted, and when
| Data | Deleted |
|---|---|
| Children, logs, notes and settings | Immediately on the phone. On our servers within 30 days, including backups. If someone else in the household still shares, the shared logs stay for them |
| Your email address and account | Immediately when you delete the account or all your data, or when we delete it after you write to us. An account with no household that no phone is signed in to is deleted 30 days after its last sign-in. Copies in server backups expire within 30 days |
| Login codes | When used. A code that is not used works for 10 minutes and is cleaned up within two days. We only store a fingerprint of the code |
| Reported AI answers | Within 90 days |
| Counters with no names or content (Pluss status, limits) | Within 60 days |
| In-app feedback (sent without any ID, so we can’t find yours) | After one year |
| Trial fingerprint | After 18 months. Kept when you delete your data, so the free trial can’t be restarted. It says nothing about you or your child |
| Purchase records | Kept as long as bookkeeping law requires (up to five years), without any information about your child |
Subscriptions
Deleting your data or account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel in Google Play under Payments & subscriptions, or on iPhone in Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
